Mini-MBA Program, Harvard University

I learned business fundamentals (e.g. accounting, marketing) through an intensive case-based summer course taught by Harvard Business School professors.

I developed curriculum materials and served as a teaching assistant for a short, intensive course ("The Business of Biotech") for 24 life sciences Ph.D. students and recent graduates. The course included an overview of some important topics in the biotechnology industry, such as drug pricing and decision-making by pharmaceutical companies. For the course, I helped create an in-depth case study on the history of a biotechnology company through extensive financial analysis and primary source research. Specifically, I wrote code to extract data from quarterly business reports, performed data analysis, and generated annotated graphics illustrating how a company handled moments of financial strain.

I was selected to participate in a 2-week consulting competition to problem-solve for a corporate client in the education field. In a 4-member team, I developed and presented an investment and marketing plan to a panel of 3 industry experts.
